plenary panel discussions on Migration Health and One Health; breakout sessions; NGO exhibits; and student poster presentations. This is an opportunity for you to share and showcase information about your current research or fieldwork in the area of global health in an informal environment.

We invite both undergraduate and graduate posters at the session on all aspects of global health. Your poster can show work in progress.

America’s Next Great Restaurant

I know that most of you probably don’t share my obsession with food.  However, I really thought this new show, America’s Next Great Restaurant, is an interesting example of partnerships, which Aman was talking about on Wednesday.  Doesn’t have as much to do with health… but basically this is a competition where food fanatics will pitch their ideas to a panel of investors about their vision of the next great restaurant.  The grandfather example in this competition is Chipotle, and founder of Chipotle (Steve Ells) is one of the investors/judges.  Another investor is Bobby Flay, a culinary celebrity on Food Network. Here’s the link with a video:

This goes to show how innovation builds off previous ideas, as we have read in several articles for the class.

Can’t wait to see who wins!

Innovations at the Kellogg Foundation

I thought this was a good site to explore because they provide grants for projects, and have logic model guides and evaluation handbooks in their knowledge center that may be useful.  I liked the short video on this page, hope everyone else does too.
